About This Episode:
Memories are powerful and have tremendous influence over us. A lot of people live their life through one of these three buckets…
Some don’t ever focus on the past; they only see what’s next, constantly ignoring their own memories and essentially erasing their past.
Others look backwards, but through the lens of regret, constantly minimizing their memories.
And then there are those who look back on their memories through a lens of gratitude—for both the awesome and the awful—because, at the end of the day, all we have are the moments we have turned into memories, and that collection in our brain is what is called our life.
The challenge is to look back with gratitude and tie positive connotations to that collection. The practical application of that is creating photo books that visibly collect those memories that make us feel good.
In this #WalkWithMe episode, I talk about the kind of relationship we currently have with our own memories—and how changing that can change everything.
