What’s Your Impossible?
It’s not possible.
How many times have you uttered those words?
I’ll admit that I’ve uttered them a few times in my life. I mean, let’s face it, there are certain things that just can’t happen right?
And then, something proves us wrong.
The Mystery of the Impossible
On one of my excursions to the UK I discovered the mystery of the impossible. There I was, standing in front of Stonehenge just outside of London. Stonehenge is a modern marvel.
Consider this. In front of me were stones that weigh more than 5 tons and don’t exist anywhere within 120 miles. And, some weigh up to 50 tons and can’t be found within 20 miles. Add the fact that these stones were placed there more than 5,000 years ago. It’s considered a technical feat considering the day and age the structure was erected.
When you think about the known facts about Stonehenge while your standing there, gazing at this odd formation of boulders, you can’t help but wonder what is truly possible.
What’s Your Impossible?
When you were a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up? What was possible?
Anythings was possible, right? Of course we could build a rocket ship out of a refrigerator box! Of course we could sail to the moon in our bunkbeds. Of course we could be a firefighter, doctor, artist, and professional boxer … all at once! Of course, of course.
But age does something to us. We move from living in the land of the impossible to the land or the real. We learn the rules and laws of the land. Suddenly, the impossible is just that, the impossible.
Why, as we get older, does our perception of possibility diminish?
Where are you living right now? Are you in the land of the impossible, or have you taken up residence in the land of ordinary, otherwise known as, “The land of hey buddy, that’s not possible.”
Stonehenge reminds me that pretty much anything is possible. That I need to keep my mind open to wonder and mystery, and think beyond the ordinary. That the only way massive boulders get up and move 120 miles is when I figure out a way to move them.
If you’re stuck right now. If you’re thinking that you don’t have a chance at accomplishing your dreams, or buying that dream home, or getting out of debt. If you’re tired of listening to the people out there who want to tell you, “It’s not possible.” Then watch this video. It will redefine the paradigm of possibility.
